We are Inventors! 

At St Paul's, we view Design and Technology as an inspiring, hands-on subject. We encourage children to innovate, think creatively, and solve problems, both individually and within a team. Through researching, designing, making, and evaluating, children create meaningful and functional products that consider their own and others' needs, wants, and values, fulfilling a design brief. In thoughtfully chosen contexts, children learn to select and utilize a broad range of tools and materials, such as cutting, shaping, joining, and using construction materials, textiles, and ingredients. They have the chance to investigate and assess existing products and design methods, which informs their own design choices and the evaluation of their work and that of their peers. We also integrate relevant aspects of the Science and Computing curricula where it enhances learning.
