Welcome
At St Paul’s, our motto is “Foundations for the Future” and we feel this embraces everything we do.
Whether your child is starting in our independent nursery “Wagtails” or enrolling in our school, a warm welcome awaits you. Christian values underpin all that we do at St Paul’s - we are fully committed to developing each child’s unique, God given potential within a secure and caring environment. We have strong links to our founder church of St. Paul’s in West Street and its benefice St. Michael’s. Our parish church St. Nicholas is next to the school and we have strong links to all three. We hold assembly every day and each Thursday, the clergy come and conduct collective worship with the children.
St Paul’s is a diverse and creative community, where every individual is cherished, talents are nurtured and excellence prevails. Our aim is to provide the highest quality education for all in a caring, supportive, vibrant and inclusive learning environment. We offer an exciting curriculum where both staff and pupils work together to ensure high-quality teaching and learning opportunities. We have an excellent staff, who work extremely hard to offer a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum for the children. We are very creative in our approach and enhance topics with visits and visitors. We provide a wealth of opportunities for children to discover, explore and extend their natural talents.
St Paul’s is a recognised International School, being reaccredited for the fourth time with this important national award, with link schools in Uganda and Spain. We are nationally recognised for our teaching of Spanish, where the children leave the school with a high proportion of our year six class, reaching the equivalent of a pass at GCSE. In 2018, St. Paul’s was the top school in Brighton and Hove for key stage two standards and third in Sussex.
We are very proud of our family atmosphere: we strive to not only provide the highest quality of education, but also help our children become happy, successful and fulfilled global citizens in our ever evolving, diverse and multi-cultural world. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a thirst for knowledge and a love of lifelong learning.
We welcome the full contribution to school life that our Governors, clergy, parents and carers make. We value their views and support in order to provide the very best opportunities for all children. Together, we ensure that St. Paul’s remains a very special place.
If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit (COVID restrictions allowing). The children of St Paul’s thoroughly enjoy talking about and sharing their achievements and our successes.
We look forward to working with you and your child and welcoming you to St Paul’s.
